It's been too long...

Since I last posted.
More than a year now!
And so much has changed.

For one, A Levels is OVERRRrrrr!
And I didn't fail anything :)

heehee.
I did okay I guess, considering I did not really study that hard during my 2 years in school...

Anyhow, I'll be making my way to the University of Birmingham to do Music!
I'm really thankful for the chance I have been given.
I was really almost going to NTU NBS for Business.
But a decision was made for me by some divine power (i think), and tada!
I get to follow my passion and dream, and do a degree in Music :)
I hope I manage fine in the UK,
and that I study hard! Not slack like what I did in JC!
Of course I look forward to the breaks I'll have there,
places I'll visit and people I'll meet,
but learning more about music and so many many different interesting modules,
I'M TOO EXCITED! :)
plus, I'll be going Birm with Cherry (stuck with her forever man haha),
Steven (our dear chef) and Jefferson (the efficient one)!
It sounds too awesome to be true already :)
with our many other music friends studying in London and Oxford (woah),
I'm pretty sure I'll learn so much more in the UK.
And also, the many many concerts I'll get to attend!
The professional performers I'll get to meet!
Plus, the university provides lessons for 2 instruments
which is A DREAM COME TRUE for me man :)
I will update more once I'm finally in the UK.

But of course, I'll miss home.
I'll miss my family members, friends and all.
THE FOOD gosh. i'll totally die craving for it all.
Things will move on without me,
and I know there's no way things will be the same when I return.
People move on, and I will, too.
I just hope that I can handle all these changes in time to come.

And so anyway, what has been happening in my life?

Let's start with what happened after As.
The last day, the last paper, it was Chemistry MCQ.
I remember it raining super heavily on my way home.
And my old old school shoe finally breaking apart and my sole falling off,
as I was running to the bus stop for shelter.
Stupid person who stole my newer and ONLY working pair of shoes just before As started :\
then I had to wear the spoilt one for my exams.

After As, I went to Bali with my dearest ACband close girls! :)
Ayu Cherry Janine and I~ had fun in Bali haha.
Right now Ayu's in Aussie studying and I really miss late night suppers + bus rides with her...
Hope one day soon we can all fly over and meet her!

After Bali, I went for a visit back to Miri, Sarawak, with my family.
It was pretty nice there, but Miri is really different from Singapore.
The Pui family owned cars all have the same car plate number there - 1234!
Cool huh :) like me haha!

Did I mention? I GOT MY OWN TRUMPET!
So much pain to get it man. Too lazy to recount.
My own problem la, because I was indecisive.
But I got it anyway :) a really awesome sounding one!
For a relatively reasonable price, I think?
A bit (or more than a bit) out of tune though.
But this should hopefully last me for at least the next 5 years!
And that leads me to the topic of band!
I think my previous post was before SYF.
And I must say, SYF was a really STRESS~ (Kang Gary!) period for me.
For one, it was because of my incompetency,
our choice piece was switched at such a late time.
Then the switch itself. Woah almost couldn't tank.
I think during that time I barely studied.
But of course, we pulled through.
I think I wailed after the results were released.
IT WAS SUCH A FREAKING HUGE RELIEF.
even listening to the recording of the results itself makes me tear.
ACJC Band, ultimate man.
And MUSE II was much better than the horrible concert before.
I ended my ACBand journey with the Presentation Night perf :)
Gah, so thankful that we were picked for that, so I could keep playing with the band.
Also for MEP I finally had a chance to play with an orchestra!
It was really a different experience and it was really awesome.
In Birmingham I really hope I can make it for their orchestra! :)
Well, after As I did return to play with the kids of course haha.
Thrice, in fact.
LegACy (which is in fact an alumni project), MUSE, and recently SIBF.
SIBF is totally waaaa I am glad we managed a Gold,
but the margin was so small I actually feel slightly disappointed.
I think the kids really needed the prize money for their funds.
But oh well, the Orchestra Collective was impressive all right haha.
I also have been playing with MusArt, because Zhihao called me too,
and it has been pretty fun!

Unfortunately recently I've been a tad too busy with ACBand
so couldn't make it for the MusArt pracs.
Also, with work and my scholarship stuff filling up my schedule, July has been really v busy for me.
Having to do other prep stuff for uni has also been tiring,
but at the same time, EXCITING GAH!
(woah this post is really getting quite long)

I miss my ACJCband batchies.
I still wish I had trumpet batchies sigh but I guess that's my forever alone fate.
Haha I hope that ceases when I reach UK!
Anyhow, I'm working at Yamaha now!
It's pretty fun and I enjoy working there.
I'm just a cashier but it takes skill also okay.
Will soon have to stop and I'll really be so bored after that
but I mustn't forget that I'm still a student!
Ah, life.

Anyhow, I'll post sometime soon again? :)

A polaroid we took on the day Ayu left for Aussie;

P.S Actually I really didn't want to colour my posts, but I just couldn't resist. :)
